If yes (and hopefully knowing a bit more than that!), you could be the ideal Sommelier to join our luxury hotel client. Located within stunning surroundings in the Aberdeenshire area, they are seeking a dedicated and ambitious person to join their wine team.

Your new job responsibilities

As Sommelier, you will be responsible for 400 bin wine list, which you will recommend, pair and sell to our clients guests. You will be required to add to the exceptional customer experience and leave lasting memories. You’ll be keen to grow, share your passion equally with guests and colleagues while being an approachable ambassador for the wine team in the hotel. Contributing to the daily running of the wine operation will also be part of the job so assisting the team in trainings and cellar management is all part of your day.

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

While experience in a similar role is desired, possessing a L2 or L3 WSET qualification is preferred, with some demonstrable Sommelier background, knowledge, passion and ambition to deliver exceptional experiences. Of greatest importance is attitude, personality and a desire to progress your career with the hospitality industry.

You’ll demonstrate exceptional leadership skills as well as the ability to remain organised and poised throughout your shift.
