Responsibilities as the Senior IT Engineer 

Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Senior IT Support Engineer to join their growing team. As the IT Engineer, you will be providing effective IT support to a diverse range of customers via telephone, email and remote support applications. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate exceptional technical skills in Microsoft focused PC and Network technologies.  

You will take a proactive approach in performing the IT support requests and have the drive to understand the client's current business model combined with the value it brings to customers. This position will primarily involve logging and troubleshooting calls from a broad database of end users.  

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications 

We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer who can demonstrate excellent knowledge of supporting Windows OS as well as software and hardware on Windows Server. You will have strong proficiency in setup and configuration of domain and cloud environments, combined with exceptional skills in Terminal Server/Citrix environments. Ideally, you will also have a great understanding of network infrastructure including VPNs, Routing, DNS and Firewalls.  

The skills below would be highly advantageous, yet not essential: 

  • VOIP Phone systems 

  • Information Security knowledge 

  • Mobile Device Management systems 

  • Cabling planning and installation
