Your new employer

This position offers 5 working days per week and hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm. 

 

Benefits of your new role 

As the new Prep Chef, you will earn a competitive salary of £23,000 with generous tips distributed to the team at Christmas. Tips usually come in at around £2,000 each, allowing you to earn a little extra money just when you need it!

This business also runs on reduced hours throughout the winter season, including Christmas Day and the whole month of January, giving you time to relax and reset for another year ahead. You will also enjoy complimentary meals on shift throughout this role. 

 

Your new job responsibilities 

As a fundamental member of the team, you will work closely with the kitchen's talented Head Chef to deliver excellent product quality and service. The Prep Chef will take pride in producing high-quality dishes by closely following the menu specifications and ensure all dishes are presented to a high standard.

You will actively assist in the maintenance, organisation, implementation and execution of the food safety and Health & Safety policies, as well as ensuring excellent Environmental Health and Food Hygiene Standards are maintained. The Prep Chef will have strong attention to detail and always ensure the cleanliness of your kitchen and ancillary areas. 

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications 

As a Prep Chef, you will be able to demonstrate a creative imagination and pallet when developing dishes, whilst having excellent knowledge of seasonal produce. You will be approachable and have the ability to work well in a team as well as staying calm and composed under pressure.

Ideally, we would be delighted to speak to Chef’s who have a CVQ level 2-3 or equivalent and food hygiene certification. Having 2 years' experience within a similar role would be great, as well as the drive to succeed and share a genuine passion for hospitality.
