We are partnering with a leading logistics provider specialising in the efficient transportation of goods by sea, air, and road to and from the global market. Our client requires a motivated Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Glasgow.

Responsibilities within your new role as the Logistics Coordinator

  • Manage stock levels using IT systems and digital devices
  • Verify and meet established deadlines through effective product fulfilment, shipping, and transportation cycle management
  • Manage and test transportation providers, ensuring cost-effective and reliable service
  • Review costs and transportation rates, researching shipping options to optimise logistics operations
  • Develop and analyse budgets, providing detailed reports to management
  • Oversee logistics operations, including warehouse control, to enhance supply chain efficiency
  • Ensure all shipping methods comply with relevant rules, regulations, and laws
  • Recruit and coordinate logistics staff, including truck drivers, according to requirements and availabilities
  • Monitor quality control and maintain warehouse capacity at optimal levels


Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing exports via air, sea, and land, along with strong organisational and time-management skills. Proficiency in using IT systems for logistics management is essential, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is crucial, and a solid knowledge of international shipping regulations and compliance is required.
