Your rate of pay and hours of work
In the role of a Class 2 Driver, you'll enjoy an hourly wage ranging from £12 to £13, with weekly payrolls, and the added benefit of accumulating holiday pay. This role offers a versatile working schedule that blends both day and night shifts. Your weekly schedule will encompass five days out of seven, with dayshifts typically commencing at either 6am or 7am, while nightshifts begin at 9pm or 10pm. Most shifts will span a 10-hour timeframe, with a minimum commitment of 8 hours for each shift.

They manage a fleet comprising around 115 vehicles dedicated to the timely and temperature-sensitive conveyance of goods, catering to a diverse range of businesses throughout the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities within your new role
The Class 2 Driver's position involves a range of duties, including performing multi-drop deliveries and managing the pickup, transportation, loading, and unloading of goods. A critical prerequisite is a sound knowledge of the geographical layout of the UK mainland. Equally important is the diligent maintenance of precise records regarding travel durations, mileage covered, and hours worked, ensuring thorough documentation. Moreover, strict adherence to all company guidelines and protocols, particularly those pertaining to health, safety, and hygiene, is essential for the successful execution of your responsibilities.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
In order to qualify for this role, you should possess a valid Full UK Driving Licence, preferably without more than 6 points on it. Additionally, you must hold a valid CPC Card, and have a minimum of 12 months of practical experience operating and driving Class 2 vehicles. Proficiency in using GPS equipment for navigation is also a requirement. Safety is of utmost importance, so you must ensure your fitness to operate the truck at all times and comply with all road and transport regulations. Finally, the ability to drive safely in diverse weather conditions and at any time of day is a fundamental necessity for this position.
