The position will be based in Dundonald, Ayrshire, with working hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.

Their fantastic reputation has been built over 10 years, maintaining their family-run ethos, whilst strategically expanding across Scotland. Currently operating out of 9 retail branches, with continual expansion planned. Mirroring this locational growth, The Designer Rooms are very much investing heavily in its online presence and web team, which is where you come in as the new E-Commerce Manager!

 

Responsibilities within your new role

The E-Commerce Manager will be pivotal to the growth and development of the business, with key responsibilities including (but not limited to):    

  • Development and implementation of strategies to drive sales and profitability, including SEO, marketing campaigns, merchandising, and pricing,

  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the e-commerce channel is fully integrated with all other aspects of the business,

  • Management and optimisation of the e-commerce platform, including site functionality, content and user experience, to ensure maximum customer engagement and conversion,

  • Analysis of site traffic and customer behaviour data,

  • Forecasting and tracking of key performance metrics, to manage the e-commerce budget,

  • Analysis of modern e-commerce trends and best practices.

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

To be successful in this newly created position, you will need to demonstrate a strong and successful background within the e-commerce sector. Specifically, you will be highly adept at managing e-commerce websites and any associated platforms, within fast-paced business environments.

Essential to the role is in-depth knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, e-commerce best practices, merchandising and pricing. Ideally, you will also possess advanced Excel skills and experience in stock management systems.

As an individual, you should have great attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and first-class communication skills. The Designer Rooms are definitely looking for an outgoing, people-orientated person.
