Do you have a demonstrated history in the logistics, freight or transport sector and looking for a new opportunity with a leading Global Freight Forwarding company? We are seeking a talented and experienced Customs Coordinator to join our client on a permanent basis at their office based in the Hemel Hempstead area.  

 

Your new employer 

You will be supporting a busy Customs team by providing strong administrative support & assisting with any customs queries. We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals with specific experience of Customs procedures within the Freight Forwarding industry, however this is not essential. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team and well-established organisation who are industry leaders in their field. Responsibilities in your new role 

As the Customs Coordinator, you will be responsible for all customs clearance compliance and procedures to ensure that all documentation is prepared accurately and accepted for daily export shipments in a timely manner. You’ll be proactive in assisting with customer queries to promote repeat business and optimum customer satisfaction. 

Within this role, you will maintain an organised and accurate approach when confirming clearance status’, ensuring deadlines are met and productivity remains high. You will communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, being reactive to new queries by both customers and colleagues.  

 

Your experience, personality and qualifications 

We would love to speak to highly diligent and enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate outstanding administrative and communication skills, as well as excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. You will have strong attention to detail and be well organised, whilst having the ability to work independently as well as in a team. 

Experience within the freight, logistics or transport industry would be highly advantageous for this position as well as experience of dealing with customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
