Your rate of pay and hours of work
We have an exciting temporary opportunity available with an attractive pay rate of £11.00 to £13.00 per hour. Not only will you receive weekly payments, but you will also accrue holiday pay. This position offers a wide range of flexible shifts, including weekdays and weekends, across multiple venues in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities within your new role
As a Commis Chef, your main focus will be assisting the Head Chef in ensuring smooth food service operations and creating visually appealing dishes. You'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your culinary skills by preparing speciality dishes featured on the 'specials' menus and overseeing the function menus.
In this position, you'll work closely with the front-of-house team and other departments to promote effective communication and ensure customer satisfaction. Your role will be pivotal in preparing the kitchen team for service and maintaining a well-stocked kitchen with the highest standards.
As a proactive Commis Chef, you'll also play an active part in mentoring and inspiring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are currently on the lookout for an outstanding Chef who possesses at least 1 year of experience in a Commis role or similar capacity. Our preferred candidate will have a solid culinary foundation and exceptional communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
