Responsibilities within your new role
As the Commis Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed in accordance with regulations as well as supporting the running of the kitchen by assisting with the preparation of food and maintaining high standards and quality of dishes served to customers. You will manage and supervise your own section whilst maintaining excellent communication with other teams including kitchen staff, management and front-of-house staff.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of experience within a busy hotel or restaurant kitchen is essential in order to progress into this Commis Chef position. Evidence of continued progression is required, as well as a passion for learning from experienced chefs. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills combined with strong communication abilities both verbal and written in order to work effectively within a team environment.
