Stafffinders are pleased to be working closely with a well-established client in the heart of Glasgow who are on the lookout for talented and ambitious Chef de Partie’s to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a section within the kitchen. You will also know and support your team to encourage them to take pride in their role through a consistent and positive approach. You will have the ability to support the Senior Chefs to deliver exceptional food while supporting the communication of compliance requirements to all team members with regards to Health & Safety, Food Safety, and any other related legislative requirements.

Your new job responsibilities

As the Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for assisting in the kitchen, cleaning down the pantry area and retaining the high standard set by the weekday chef. At Stafffinders, we aim to provide a quality service to all of our care clients, so a general knowledge of dietary requirements is essential.

You will know and support your team to encourage them to take pride in their role through a consistent and positive approach. To support your team to deliver exceptional food while supporting the communication of compliance requirements to all team members with regards to Health & Safety, Food Safety, and any other related legislative requirements.

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your speciality
  • Support the kitchen team to deliver high standards of service and customer satisfaction during service periods
  • Support an open, honest, and engaging culture where team members can excel
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to develop the team and support retention
  • Care for your team ensuring that team members’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything you do
  • Understand and adhere to our People Policies to ensure the Company is compliant
  • Drive own personal development within position using support functions where necessary

 

Your Experience, Qualifications & Personality

To be considered for this position, you must have strong experience as a Chef De Partie, ideally in high volume and fast-paced kitchens. You will have the ability to work well in a team whilst showing a genuine interest and passion for the hospitality industry.

The successful candidates should also have strong communication skills to ensure effective connections between the kitchen team and front of house team, as well as the ability to be a key team leader for more senior Head Chef positions.

As an individual you should have excellent attention to detail, possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to meet targets in a highly demanding environment.

Above all else, you should have an ambitious personality combined with a team-based work ethic.
