Are you an experienced and talented Breakfast Chef looking to accelerate your career within renowned hotels and restaurants in Edinburgh? We’re seeking Chefs who have the desire to show off their creativity and make their mark within reputable establishments all across Edinburgh and beyond.  

Your rate of pay and hours of work 

As a Breakfast Chef, you will receive an hourly rate of £14 per hour, with holiday pay accrued on top of the hourly rate. With flexible roles available to suit your lifestyle or personal commitments, you will work 4 or 5 days out of 7 per week, which could work around your availability. 

Responsibilities in your new role 

The key responsibility of the Breakfast Chef is to fully support the Head Chef with the preparation of hot and cold food, ensuring breakfast is served to the highest standard. You will oversee the running of sections within the kitchen during service whilst assisting with stock control and identifying new methods for improving the overall food service. 

As the Breakfast Chef de Partie, it is your responsibility to ensure a consistently high level of food service at all times, through knowledge of menu items, awareness of commodities used and cooking methods. You will also ensure that kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned regularly, whilst making sure health and hygiene procedures are followed. 

Your personality, experience and qualifications 

To be considered for this position, you must have strong experience as a Chef De Partie, ideally in high-volume and fast-paced kitchens. You will have the ability to work well in a team whilst showing a genuine interest and passion for the hospitality industry. 

The successful candidates should also have strong communication skills to ensure effective connections between the kitchen team and front-of-house team. As an individual you should have excellent attention to detail, possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to meet targets in a highly demanding environment.
