I have had very good service from all at the Glasgow Office. They found me a temporary position, which I have now been in for more than a year. Food scientist jobs are involved in the application of biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, biotechnology, radiation science, enzymology and nutrition to keep food fresh, safe and attractive.
Food scientist jobs will be required to sample and analyze food products and facilities.
Food scientist jobs analysis will include compositional and food borne pathogen analysis.
Food scientist jobs drawing up guidelines for improvements in quality and safety and dissemination of the results will be an integral part of the project.
All entrants need a good grounding in science. A BTEC/SQA HNC/HND or degree is usually required to become a food scientist. Subjects such as food science, food studies, food technology, or general sciences are particularly useful
