IT Projects often involve the design and implementation of an IT solution. IT managers must monitor the project constantly to make sure that it is progressing on time, on budget and to the necessary quality standards.

What's involved in IT Project Management:

The daily duties of an IT project manager will consist of the following:

  • Negotiation with contractors for the supply of materials and services needed in project completion.

  • Utilising well-established project management methods, as well as digital programmes, that allow for efficient management of the project.

  • Carefully plan projects so that tasks can be effectively delegated.

  • Manage and motivate employees to achieve the best product outcome.

Key attributes for IT Project Leaders:

IT project leaders require strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think logically.
