Project Engineer Jobs

Project engineers are responsible for co-ordinating site engineering, sub-contractor activities or other activities requiring technical expertise. Project engineers also provide support to the project manager and/or construction supervisor, and guidance to field engineers.

For any engineering project to run successfully, requires the project engineer to be able to prepare for and participate in progress review meetings, work with project personnel and resolve technical problems.

Polished interpersonal skills are essential to guide and direct field engineers to ensure they are effective in their contribution to turn innovative designs into reality.

Project engineers have to work with quality control to maintain quality standards for the project while assisting the project manager or construction superintendent with daily project coordination and planning. 

High levels of organisation are essential and commercial acument to be able to efficiently update  engineering documentation (including as-builts) and contribute to project profitability by suggesting value engineering that can improve performance.
