Chefs and Cooks Jobs

Stafffinders recruit for a wide range of Chef and Cook jobs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and throughout the rest of Scotland. As well as placing Executive Chefs, Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, Chef de Partie and Commis Chef in new roles, we also recruit for Head Cooks and Pastry Chefs amongst other positions.

Chef and Cook Job Description

As a Chef or Cook, your daily responsibilities will involve:

  • Preparing food
  • Designing menus
  • Storing food correctly
  • Ensuring food is fresh
  • Correctly operating kitchen equipment
  • Ensuring cleanliness is optimal
  • Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies

The majority of Chefs and Cooks will work full time hours including late evenings and weekends. Chefs and Cooks are also expected to work during holidays such as Christmas and New Year given the busy nature of restaurants and hotels at these times of the year.
