Physiotherapist Jobs

Physiotherapist jobs key aim is to improve a patients mobility and health, helping those with problems that affect muscles, bones, joints and the nervous system, heart and lungs. These problems are often caused by accidents, illness or ageing as well as conditions such as multiple sclerosis or cystic fibrosis.

Physiotherapist jobs working within hospitals, health centres, clinics or GP surgeries, use their skills and techniques in manipulation, massage, therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy.

Physiotherapist jobs must have obtained a relevant degree, and training is given on the job with an added requirement to take part in CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

Physiotherapist jobs must be concerned with the well-being of others, have the ability to work as part of a team to assess and treat a patient fully, working alongside not only the patient but other healthcare professionals, and be able to build rapport with their patients, putting them at ease very quickly.

Good communication skills are of great importance as is a persuasive nature with the capacity to encourage the patient to help themselves, to take responsibility for their health and their treatment.
