Loading Bay Operative Jobs
Loading Bay Operatives are responsible for effective and efficient loading of delivery trucks with multiple parcels or pallets, ready for distribution to customers or businesses. As a Loading Bay Operative, you will also have the responsibility of unloading vehicles at the time of delivery in a safe and adept manner. This role requires sorting the packages and parcels within the warehouse to effectively organise and pick/put away to the correct locations. You will likely report to the Warehouse Manager and liaise with the rest of the team including Warehouse Operatives and Pickers/Packers.
The working hours are usually 37-40 hours a week, often on a shift system with opportunities for overtime during peak times throughout the year to meet demand. Loading Bay Operatives will find that they are mainly working in light and airy warehouses.
