Customs Compliance Manager Jobs

Customs compliance manager jobs will manage, direct and maintain overall customs compliance procedures in a corporate environment. Customs compliance managers ensure the company is operating best practices related to entry release of merchandise and has knowledge of all areas of UK customs regulations.  Customs compliance manager jobs include Harmonized Tariff Schedule, section notes and researching customs binding rulings and export regulations.

Customs Compliance Manager Responsibilities

Customs compliance managers are responsible for measuring corporate compliance rating and achieving a minimum of a 95% overall compliance rate. They will oversee pre-classification of merchandise and manage line reviews on all product lines.  Other duties that they are responsible for are to interpret and respond to all custom enquiries, administer customs training programmes to associates and monitor regulatory and legislative changes.

Customs compliance managers will manage and lead import co-ordinators as well as deal with supplier management duties including interfacing with freight forwarders, UK Customs Officer's, customs brokers and external customers.  They will implement and manage all customs and border protection programmes and corporate security programs. 

Customs compliance manager jobs will require a BS/BA degree with around 6-8 years experience, a degree in logistics or other related area and hold a current Customs Brokers License.
