Architectural technologists work on building projects with architects, surveyors and other construction industry professionals. They decide which technology, materials and processes are needed to design buildings for production and performance.

Becoming an expert in the disciplines of architecture, building design and construction takes years of graft but the rewards are many.  As a contributor at every stage of the project, the Architectural Technologists passion for building design will be evident in development, design management aswell as contract management and post-construction evaluation including building performance and managing project handover.

Responsibility for the architectural building design process

Throughout these processes, the architectural technologist will be required to use their specialist technical skills and knowledge to provide innovative solutions to projects.

Demonstrate enthusiasm and design flair is obvious and he has now been personally responsible for several projects. Chris produces strong concept designs and communicates these through stunning 3D visuals which are created from an early stage.

Architectural Technologists jobs are governed by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists who set the standard for professional conduct in this discipline.

Expected salary of an Architectural Technologist

The pay rates given below are approximate.

  • Starting: £17,000 - £20,000

  • With experience: £50,000

  • Senior Architectural Technologists earn £70,000
