Financial Controller Jobs

A financial controller has the responsibility of overseeing the accounting department, ensuring the smooth running of a company's financial responsibilities. The extensive workload of a knowledgeable financial controller includes performance monitoring, financial reporting, overseeing and rectifying complex tax and regulatory issues, contributing ideas and best practices towards financial strategies, as well as assisting and helping to educate individuals within the financial/accounting department.

Financial controllers can benefit from this well-paid position, which comes as a result of the requirement for strong leadership skills and high-level decision making. These talents are a direct result of industry experience and formal accreditation in ACCA/CIMA degrees. As at December 2018, the typical salary available in Scotland is £52,500.

Overseeing financial planning and analysis, this position increasingly sees the individual sit on the board and contribute towards the future direction and strategy of any business.

You'll utilise experience in finance manager jobs in financial organisations as this opens the door to individuals from multiple sector backgrounds.
