A Property Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing residential or commercial properties on behalf of property owners. Their duties typically include setting and collecting rent, handling tenant inquiries and complaints, managing maintenance and repair tasks, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. They act as a liaison between the property owner and tenants, aiming to maintain high occupancy rates and preserve the property's value. In addition, Property Managers often handle financial aspects such as budgeting and accounting for the property.

To become a Property Manager, one generally needs a combination of relevant education and experience. While a formal degree in property management, real estate, or business is beneficial, many professionals start with a high school certificate or associate degree and gain experience in related fields like real estate or customer service. Certification or licensing requirements vary by location but often include passing an exam and meeting continuing education requirements. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
