Commis Chef Jobs

Commis Chefs are usually given the opportunity to gain experience within a number of different kitchen 'stations' to identify areas with key strengths and give a rounded experience of all aspects of food preparation. 

To begin a culinary career, Commis Chefs should have a great eye for attention to detail, be willing to undertake any job and have militant hygiene standards. 

Being a quick learner with fantastic practical skills will see you accelerate up the kitchen hierarchy. Flexibility towards evening, weekend and shift work is a must. If you are still studying, some kitchens offer part-time and seasonal work to provide valuable practical experience.
