Project Architect jobs are highly qualified and experienced individuals who plan and design the construction of buildings. As the designers and creators of the skylines around us, Project Architects are often involved in the design of not only new buildings but the restoration or re-use of existing and listed buildings. Projects covering office developments to residential new builds, you will need to be focused on production of design and construction drawings to exacting standards to move towards project milestones. Starting out as Design Architect, you’ll amass building design experience from commercial projects and progress towards the Project Architect and become a Senior in a practice.


You may apply your design expertise within a Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) practice and get actively engage on fast track commercial projects up and down the country. You’ll develop strong working relationships with some of the country’s leading building designers and compile a building design portfolio across many regions and areas. Training to get into Project Architect jobs Studying and training to become an Architect will take 7 years of intense learning at one of 36 schools of architecture in the UK together with work experience, shadowing and learning from fully qualified colleagues. Qualified Architects will be registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and often, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
