Diversity and Young Peoples Initiative

As part of our business strategy, we continue to diversify our workforce and develop a business culture that reflects the vision we built our company foundation upon. Our employees, candidates, clients and suppliers are at the centre of our vision.

Interns

We are passionate about how we can maintain and exceed the inclusive culture we promote within and beyond our company. As a family run business, we value our staff as extended members of the family striving towards the same goal and purpose. We trust one another and promote integrity and transparency within our work and working practices. Our commitment to create equal opportunities and an inclusive working environment for all is at the heart of what we do.

We want all of our employees to be clear about their rights at work and encourage an environment where we treat all those fairly, respectfully and honestly. We regularly review all aspects of our recruitment strategy to avoid unlawful or undesirable discrimination.

Diversity is crucial to our business enterprise, particularly how we adhere to policies, fair employment and a good standard of working conditions. Alongside this, we strive to help our clients meet their own diversity targets. Stafffinders will not accept instruction from any clients that indicate an intention to discriminate unlawfully.

Stafffinders shall not discriminate unlawfully when deciding which candidate is submitted for a vacancy. We will ensure that each candidate is assessed only in accordance with their experience, merits, qualifications, skills and abilities to perform the relevant duties. We will take every step possible, in all circumstances, to make adjustments to the workplace where appropriate.

Young Peoples Initiative

In this Year of Young People, Stafffinders is continuously on the lookout for emerging talent and has embraced the younger workforce looking to join our Stafffinders family.

Each year Stafffinders is involved in the Santander Internship Programme with the University of Strathclyde. The interns gain crucial experience in the workplace through a 10-week internship covering specific projects under Human Resource Management and Marketing. We pride ourselves on the support and guidance that we offer to our interns, particularly, how we tailor their personal and business development.

We are passionate about empowering young people to reach their full potential and we enable this through direct involvement in key business projects and strategic decision making. The strategy implemented will allow Stafffinders to reduce youth unemployment and support Scotland’s economic growth.

In order to shape a better future for our business and reach our vision, we need the right people on board to help us get there. By utilising and channelling young people’s creativity and work ethic, they will be able to apply the theory learned through university into practice. Ultimately, this will equip them with the skills and experience to take their career to the next level.
