Commis Chef Jobs

A commis chef jobs are junior or apprentice chef.  Commis chef jobs learn about each different sections of the kitchen in detail and a commis chef jobs will normally entail working for three to six months in each section of the kitchen to gain experience.  In larger kitchens, commis chef jobs would be assigned to each station, i.e. sauce, larder and pastry to name but a few.

Commis chef jobs will almost always require to work shifts although a normal working week will be a basic 40 hours.  Commis chef jobs salary will be in the region of £9,000.  Part-time, casual and seasonal opportunities will normally be available and are paid on a pro-rata basis.
