Cost Accountant Jobs

Cost Accountant jobs involves a wide range of tasks including product costing, analysing direct and indirect costs to determine proper allocation for recording cost elements, developing and improving methods for calculating and controlling costs, compiling cost data for use in developing budget proposals, yield and variance analysis and reporting on key performance indicators.

Cost Accountant jobs are responsible for preparing various cost and key management inventory schedules, supporting annual physical inventory processes, reconciling packaging inventory activity and assisting in annual audit of cycle counting results. Cost Accountant jobs responsibilities also include control of stock book and journal entry inputs, coordination of month end reports for distribution and other projects as assigned.

Cost Accountant jobs Qualifications

Applicants for Cost Accountant jobs will normally possess a 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance with 3 to 5 years experience in cost accounting.

Candidates are likely to be either Part or fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
