Book-keeper jobs
A book-keeper jobs will cover basic Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers, bank reconciliations and may also be required to deal with payroll, year end payroll, VAT returns and credit control.
Within the book-keeper job you may be responsible for the preparation of accounts to trial balance. Book-keeper jobs should be able to solve complex problems and a senior book-keeper may develop methods or procedures to resolve recurring or unusual problems.
Book-keeper jobs will generally report to the Financial Controller, a company Director or company Accountant. A book-keeper may have to supervise the work of junior level staff.
Book-keeper jobs can expect to earn a salary of between £15k and £25K depending on experience and the size of the organisation for whom they work.
There are also book-keeper jobs opportunities within a bureau which offer book-keeping services to other organisations.
Book-keeper jobs Qualifications
A book-keeper may have HNC, HND in Accountancy or Book-keeping qualifications.
