Production Development Engineer

Production Development Engineer design and develop new products and instrumentation Develops improvements and make modifications and enhancements to current products
Involves new product scale-up, process optimization, technology transfer, and process validation
Ensures the use of good labour and manufacturing practices
A product development engineer may also be responsible for contact with outside vendors and for the administration of contracts to achieve goals
Responsible for reducing waste and improving production speed and efficiency
Works closely with equipment manufacturers to obtain and integrate the latest packaging solutions
Will be responsible for determining the most economic method to exploit remote reserves, optimizing the conditions that will maximise the output of raw material, providing solutions to problems as they arise and making accurate forecasts of future production
Generally a Bachelor degree in life science is required and commensurate experience of the related field
